We will take a sandy beach vacation through art-making this week, as we imagine breezy palm trees, azure water, patterned sea turtles, ocean salt, and spiraling seashells, infusing our art with their warmth.

Tribal Masks, Japanese Anime, Day of the Dead Skulls, famous portrait artists …the shapes, features, colors, expressions of a variety of visages will spark this week’s art work.

La Louvre

Bonjour Paris!  This summer, we will travel overseas to take a virtual stroll through the majestic corridors of the Louvre museum and its surroundings. Art from the museum’s collection, the Tuileries gardens, as well as iconic imagery of Paris will fuel our imaginations and projects this week.

A mixed media week inspired by all things botanical.  The sharp needles and vibrant fruit of the cactus, the whimsical blossoms of the orchid, the bark of trees, the sinewy veins of bright green leaves and more will inspire our art from root to petal.

Nat Geo

Because of the vast array of incredible animals in the world,  we will reprise our theme inspired by the colorful and mesmerizing photography that National Geographic has captured of the wild variety of shapes, patterns and colors of the world’s animals.

Inspired by the popular art activity books, warm up your fingers for a week of drawing and painting with color pencil, pen, watercolor and acrylic on paper, canvas and board.  We will design detailed mythical beasts, some inspired by existing legend, some from our own imaginations.  We will learn about design and pattern, incorporating the intricacies of Zen tangles into our creations.

High Wire Art

 The bold stripes of the Big Top, the fiery colors of the Cirque du Soleil, the glittery costumes of the performers will influence our art as we make our art the Greatest “to” Show on Earth.

Immersed in enough gilt to tempt Midas, this week our art work will shine from the inspiring golden imagery of Klimt’s paintings, the brilliance of the sun, gold leafing, sparkling crowns and shimmering metallics.

Camp hours are 9 am – 12:30 pm

Extended Day: 12:30 - 3:00 pm

Camp tuition:  $265 per week 

Extended Day: $100 per week
